The in-situ solidification repair of ultraviolet hoses has been successfully applied for the first time in China to repair egg shaped drainage pipelines
The project is located in Jinan, Shandong Province, and the construction site is on Jingsan Road in Jinan City. It is a sewage main pipeline running from east to west.
Due to narrow roads, high traffic volume, and a large population of residents in the surrounding area, it is difficult to repair sewage pipelines by excavation as the water supply cannot be cut off for a long time. And the original pipeline is an irregular egg shaped pipeline, making it difficult to repair.
In order to extend the service life of the original pipeline, after comparing various construction methods and considering the actual factors on site, the non excavation UV-CIPP ultraviolet in-situ curing process was finally adopted for its repair.

Repair Overview
Fix difficulties
1. Low outdoor temperature
Jinan, Shandong is a northern city in China, and the temperature during construction was already close to 0 ℃ at night. The characteristics of Prolan materials lie in their high toughness and excellent stability, which can maintain stable performance in various environments. For northern regions, the advantages of materials are particularly important, as they can adapt to extreme temperature changes, resist severe winter and heat, and provide long-lasting protection for pipelines.
2. Narrow roads with high traffic volume
Construction will be carried out after 10 pm throughout the entire process and will be completed before dawn. It does not affect normal traffic during the day.
3. The original pipeline is old, irregularly shaped, and severely corroded
After conducting surveys and CCTV surveys on the original pipeline in the early stage, it was found that the pipeline was first built in the 1940s, more than 70 years ago. The pipeline is an irregular egg shaped pipeline with severe internal corrosion. After considering various factors, the non excavation UV-CIPP UV in-situ curing process was ultimately adopted for its repair.
